Finance Systems Developer
As a Finance Systems Developer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping, supporting, and enhancing critical financial platforms across the University. You’ll collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders, providing vital technical expertise and supporting seamless system integrations, to help drive efficiency and enable better decision making across the institution.
You’ll lead the way by:
- Developing, maintaining, and enhancing the University’s finance systems and dashboards.
- Leading projects such as the Unit 4 Business World migration and other key integrations.
- Becoming the ‘superuser’ and primary support for financial system queries.
- Helping to prioritise, implement, and review finance system improvements and customisations.
- Delivering high-quality documentation, training, and support for colleagues.
- Influencing stakeholders through insightful data analysis and recommendations.
What you’ll bring
With strong technical and analytical expertise, you’ll have experience in working with financial systems and supporting their ongoing evolution. You’ll combine a methodical approach with excellent communication skills to connect with colleagues across departments.
- A degree (or equivalent experience) in an IT, Finance or related discipline.
- Skilled in working with finance and ERP systems and making data-driven recommendations.
- Excellent attention to detail, prioritisation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to train colleagues and support stakeholders.
- Ability to understand complex requirements and produce accurate reports and system documentation.
- Ideally, experience working with Unit 4 Business World or a comparable ERP.
