            <p id="isPasted">We are looking for welcoming and enthusiastic students to join our halls teams. Resident Assistants live within our halls of residence and play an important role in creating a safe, welcoming and inclusive community for students.&nbsp;</p><p>As an RA, you will support students as they settle into university life, provide peer support, help deliver community events and act as a key link between residents and University services. Working closely with the Halls Management Team, Security and other support services, you will help ensure residents feel informed, connected and supported throughout their time in halls.&nbsp;</p><p>You&rsquo;ll make a difference by:&nbsp;</p><ul><li><span data-contrast="auto" lang="EN-GB" class="TextRun SCXW217577536 BCX8"><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW217577536 BCX8">Providing a visible, approachable and supportive presence within halls, offering guidance, information and signposting students to appropriate University support services.</span></span></li><li><span data-contrast="auto" lang="EN-GB" class="TextRun SCXW217577536 BCX8"><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW217577536 BCX8">Building positive relationships with residents through regular welfare check-ins, flat forums and community engagement activities.</span></span></li><li><span data-contrast="auto" lang="EN-GB" class="TextRun SCXW217577536 BCX8"><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW217577536 BCX8">Helping to create a safe, respectful and inclusive living environment where all students feel welcome and supported.</span></span></li><li><span data-contrast="auto" lang="EN-GB" class="TextRun SCXW217577536 BCX8"><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW217577536 BCX8">Acting as a key link between residents and hall staff, gathering feedback and escalating concerns or issues where appropriate.</span></span></li><li><span data-contrast="auto" lang="EN-GB" class="TextRun SCXW217577536 BCX8"><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW217577536 BCX8">Supporting the day-to-day operation of the halls through office-based duties, responding to general enquiries and assisting students, visitors and parents.</span></span></li><li><span data-contrast="auto" lang="EN-GB" class="TextRun SCXW217577536 BCX8"><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW217577536 BCX8">Assisting with events, inductions, Open Days and other activities that help build a strong sense of community.</span></span></li><li><span data-contrast="auto" lang="EN-GB" class="TextRun SCXW217577536 BCX8"><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW217577536 BCX8">Attending training sessions and staff development activities.</span></span></li></ul><p><br></p><p id="isPasted"><strong>What you&#39;ll bring&nbsp;</strong></p><p>This role is open to current Cardiff Metropolitan University students who live in, or are willing to live in, University halls of residence. If you do not currently have a halls booking, accommodation will be available.&nbsp;</p><p>You will play an active role in building a positive and supportive halls community, helping fellow students settle into university life and feel connected to those around them. You will bring enthusiasm, approachability and strong communication skills, alongside the professionalism needed to support residents and work collaboratively with the Halls Management Team and wider University services to help deliver a positive student experience. &nbsp;</p><p><br><strong>Why become a Resident Assistant? &nbsp;</strong></p><p>Being a Resident Assistant will give you the opportunity to develop skills such as communication, leadership, problem-solving and teamwork, while meeting and working with students and staff from across the University.
