Head of Accommodation Services
As a senior leader within Accommodation Services, you’ll use your excellent leadership and management skills to lead, support and develop the accommodation services team to provide an outstanding student experience in university and partner accommodation. You will understand the importance of customer voice in service provision and will have experience of reviewing data and processes to identify, develop and implement enhancements and efficiency gains.
You’ll use your superb engagement skills to build lasting relationships with stakeholders internally, and externally to ensure our service aligns with expectations. You will also use these skills to champion the service provided, and welcome opportunities for feedback to continually improve activity.
You’ll lead the way by:
- Overseeing the daily operating of the Accommodation Service, including the direct management of 1000+ bed spaces annually.
- Providing expertise to the University on local and regional housing matters, as well as associated policy and legislative changes.
- Leading, supporting and developing the Accommodation Service team to provide an outstanding student experience in university or partner accommodation.
- Reviewing the Accommodation customer experience and associated systems and processes, from initial enquiry through to arrival, identifying areas for performance improvement to deliver an enhanced experience and efficiency gains.
- Building relationships with stakeholders, champion our service and welcome feedback to reshape activity, to ensure our approach aligns with expectations.
- Ensuring that all operational aspects of Accommodation Services fully meet legislative and compliance requirements in all matters relating to students, guests, visitors and staff.
What you’ll bring:
With strong leadership and management experience gained from customer-facing residential house or a housing operations environment, you’ll be able to prioritise, organise and manage a varied and changing workload.
You’ll have superb verbal, written and presentation skills, able to interact with stakeholders internally and externally at a variety of levels, whilst understanding the importance of service user voice in the development and enhancement of services.
Additionally you’ll have:
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of the Renting Homes (Wales) Act.
- Demonstrable experience of managing significant budgets, and financial planning in residential or similar services.
- Considerable experience of managing and prioritising the day-to-day workload of a team, often busy and working to tight deadlines where student / customer safety and care is a guiding principle.
