            <p id="isPasted">At Cardiff Met, we&rsquo;re building a campus environment that enables people to thrive &ndash; supporting innovative teaching, impactful research and an outstanding student experience.</p><p>Ranked 1st in Wales in the People &amp; Planet University League and backed by significant investment in decarbonisation, we&rsquo;re turning ambition into action, creating smarter and more sustainable spaces for our community.</p><p>As our Head of Engineering Services and Compliance, you&rsquo;ll play a defining role in shaping safe, sustainable and future-focused spaces, helping us deliver our Strategy 2030 and net zero commitments.</p><p>You&rsquo;ll lead a specialist engineering team and work collaboratively across the University to ensure our estate is safe, compliant and ready for the future.</p><p>You&rsquo;ll play a key role by:</p><ul><li>Guiding a high-performing engineering services and compliance function across mechanical, electrical and statutory disciplines.</li><li>Championing a proactive, data-informed approach to asset management, maintenance, and continuous improvement.</li><li>Collaborating with colleagues to create environments that enhance the student and staff experience.</li><li>Delivering programmes of work that address safety, statutory compliance, condition, energy efficiency, internal thermal comfort and pedagogic need.</li><li>Acting a trusted expert and advisor for all aspects of engineering services and estate compliance.&nbsp;</li><li>Operating as the University&rsquo;s Authorised Person and Competent Person for mechanical services.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What you&rsquo;ll bring</strong></p><p>You bring substantial experience in mechanical engineering services, with strong technical expertise in statutory compliance, maintenance and the delivery of engineering works. You apply this with a clear focus on service quality and sustainability, ensuring environments are safe, efficient and support the needs of our students and staff.</p><p>Additionally, you&rsquo;ll bring:</p><ul><li>Proven experience acting as a technical lead for statutory mechanical compliance.</li><li>Experience developing and prioritising planned maintenance programmes, alongside the ability to design, specify and manage remedial and refurbishment works.</li><li>Strong knowledge of statutory compliance, engineering standards and building regulations.</li><li>Well-developed organisational, project management and analytical skills, with the ability to use data to inform decisions.</li><li>Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, enabling you to build strong relationships and work collaboratively.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Why join Cardiff Metropolitan University?</strong></p><p>We are a values-driven University where innovation and creativity shape everything we do.
