You’ll make an impact by: 

• Supporting the creative delivery and ongoing development of the University’s brand across print, exhibitions and digital outputs. 
• Managing creative projects from concept to completion, delivering innovative solutions that align with brand and campaign objectives. 
• Building trusted relationships with colleagues across the University, providing expert design advice and a responsive in-house creative service. 
• Ensuring creative outputs reflect inclusivity, diversity and accessibility, while meeting bilingual and brand standards. 

This role is offered on a hybrid basis, with at least one day per week on campus and flexibility to work from home or the office on the remaining days.

What you’ll bring  
You'll be a creative and technically skilled designer with substantial professional experience in a marketing, communications or design environment. Supported by a strong portfolio of recent commercial graphic, print and digital design work, you'll have expertise in creating engaging print and digital communications, preparing artwork for professional print and delivering high-quality design solutions to tight deadlines.  

Additionally, you'll: 

• Demonstrate advanced skills in industry software such as QuarkXPress 2026, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat within a Mac OS environment.
• Understand the effective and appropriate use of imagery and illustration, including copyright, licensing and legal considerations. 
• Have experience creating bilingual materials along with an understanding or appreciation of Welsh language standards. 
• Possess strong typographic, layout and visual design skills with excellent attention to detail. 
• Be an effective communicator who can build productive relationships and work confidently with stakeholders.

As our External Events, Engagement & Conferencing Co-ordinator, you'll play a key role in growing our portfolio of conferences, corporate events and external engagement activity. You'll coordinate every stage of the event journey, from initial enquiry through to successful delivery, helping us build lasting relationships and create exceptional experiences for our clients and stakeholders.

You’ll be part of a high-performing team supporting major events and helping drive commercial income and external engagement for the University.

You will also:

• Coordinate conferences and events from enquiry to delivery 
• Manage bookings, enquiries and client communications
• Support on-site event delivery and logistics, ensuring health and safety guidelines are followed. 
• Contribute to income-generating conference activity
• Assist with marketing and promotion of services, working within Welsh Language Standards 
• Gather and review customer feedback, using insights to continuously improve our services and customer experience.

As part of this role, you'll spend at least two days a week working on campus, with days determined by operational requirements. You'll also be expected to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends.

We deliver communications, brand, marketing and student recruitment activities that ensure a clear and consistent approach, aligned to the University’s values, behaviours and strategic objectives. We are looking for two new Student Recruitment Graduate Assistants to help shape how future students discover and experience Cardiff Met.

Guided by the Student Recruitment Manager, you’ll play an important role in helping prospective students explore their higher education options and discover what Cardiff Met can offer.

Drawing on your own experience as a Cardiff Met graduate, you’ll engage with students, parents, teachers and advisers through a variety of recruitment activities across Wales and the UK. You’ll represent the University at events, deliver presentations and help us connect with students from a wide range of backgrounds. 

Your work will directly support our student recruitment and conversion plans, helping more students feel informed, confident and excited about their future.

Additionally, you’ll:

• Support the delivery of on-campus recruitment events, including Open Days and Applicant Days.
• Represent Cardiff Met at higher education fairs, school and college events, and parents' evenings across Wales and the UK.
• Support prospective student calling and engagement campaigns.
• Help recruit, train and support Student Ambassadors.
• Gather and share market insight from schools and colleges to help shape future recruitment activity. 
• Provide administrative support for recruitment events and activities.

The role includes regular travel throughout Wales and the UK. Some evening and weekend work will be required, with occasional overnight stays.

What you’ll bring
As a Cardiff Metropolitan University graduate who has completed your degree in the last three years, you'll be passionate about helping others take their next step into higher education.

You'll be confident communicating with different audiences, able to share your experiences in an engaging way, and comfortable representing Cardiff Met in a variety of settings.

You’ll also have:

• Knowledge of the Higher Education application process and routes into Higher Education. 
• Knowledge of Cardiff Met's undergraduate, postgraduate and short-course portfolio. 
• Experience delivering presentations to groups of different sizes. 
• Strong organisation and time management skills. 
• The ability to work independently and use your own initiative. 
• A full driving licence.
