Research Associate - Impact
To help achieve our aspirations for the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2029 and ensure we maximise the quality and volume of our Impact Case Studies (ICS)
Research & Innovation Services is recruiting for one part-time and casual Research Assistants to support impact case study evidence gathering and where required report and research drafting. This is an exciting opportunity for highly motivated and enthusiastic doctoral students to support cutting edge research and impact activities across the University, Schools and REF Units of Assessment.
You’ll support by:
- Contributing to the gathering and auditing of impact data.
- Liaising with key individuals based in the Schools/Units and RIS to support the effective collation of evidence of impact activity.
- Using in depth knowledge of research and data collection techniques to support successful impact activity outcomes.
- Conducting literature and data-based searches, and where appropriate, report writing to support the production of research outputs and impact activity outcomes.
- Promoting knowledge and experience sharing via presentation of findings.
- Supporting the delivery of tangible economic, social and cultural benefits to the wider community that will contribute to impact outcomes.+
What you’ll bring
This offers an exciting opportunity for doctoral students to draw on their knowledge and experience of different types of data collection; organisational administrative, communication and presentation skills; ability to take the initiative and achieve objectives; ability to work as part of a team; and, experience of working with key stakeholders to contribute to the development and evidencing of impact and impact case studies for REF2029.
