Research and Innovation Officer

To help achieve our goals, we’re looking for a Research and Innovation Officer to support the expansion and enhancement of Research & Innovation activity within the Centre for Cardiovascular Research, Innovation and Development (CURIAD). This is a key post that will contribute to the Research and Innovation ambitions of the University’s Strategic Plan 2030.
You’ll lead the way by:
- Supporting all research and innovation projects undertaken by research staff in the Centre.
- Providing project advice, guidance and administrative support to research and academic staff in the Centre engaging in Research and/or Innovation activities.
- Developing awareness and understanding of research and innovation funding bodies. Identify potential areas and providers of research and innovation funding.
- Managing Pre and Post Award Research & Innovation Projects for the Centre.
What you’ll bring
With excellent knowledge of Research & Innovation projects within Higher Education you’ll be able to promote awareness and understanding of research and innovation opportunities amongst the Centre’s academic staff. You will bring excellent organisational skills to manage Pre and Post award Research and Innovation projects and be able to maintain a comprehensive and accurate range of information on research and innovation data that will inform periodic and annual reports.
Additionally, you’ll:
- Provide project advice, guidance and administrative support to research and academic staff in the Centre engaging in Research and/or Innovation activities.
- Have good interpersonal skills, including ability to work at all levels and maintain good working relationships.
