Software Developer

We are embarking on an ambitious transformation of our integration landscape at the University, moving away from the current point-to-point "complex web" architecture that connects numerous applications directly to our Student Record System (SRS) and to each other. By developing a modern Central Integration Hub—leveraging cloud-based technologies for standardised data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, unified API exposure, and robust monitoring—we will deliver substantial benefits for our university. We are seeking a talented Software Developer to join our collaborative Agile development team and play a key role in delivering this transformative Central Integration Hub; while continuing to enhance the services we provide to our staff and students.

As part of a dynamic team, you will take ownership of the full development lifecycle—from requirements gathering and solution design through to architecture, implementation, and stakeholder acceptance—for both new projects and enhancements to existing systems. Building on your expertise in Azure Cloud and .NET, you will utilise a wide range of Azure resources to create secure, resilient integrations, including connections to the SRS and Student Learning Environment, all while contributing to a more scalable, efficient, and future-proof integration ecosystem for the University.

What you’ll bring
With a good knowledge and practical experience of successful software application development using MS SQL and Microsoft.NET Core (ASP.NET, C#.NET and Restful API) and a fundamental understanding of Azure. You’ll be able to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders, demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Your knowledge and competency in business analysis and design methodology will enable you to design appropriate technical solutions to meet strategic and business requirements. In this role, your ability to work flexibility as a member of a small team and effectively manage workload will be important.
