School Administrator (Taught Programmes)

We are looking to recruit a dedicated team-player to assist the Taught Programmes team in fulfilling its commitment to support every aspect of the student journey. Working as part of a team of administrators, this key role supports the Programme Directors, Year Tutors and Heads of Department with high level administrative support in the day-to-day delivery of programmes within the School.  This post requires any individual with the ability to effectively co-ordinate the administration of programmes using influencing and negotiation skills to ensure the facilitation of a professional service to both staff and students.  

You’ll support:  

  • The student lifecycle, ensuring a high level of administrative support is provided at every stage of the students’ journey;
  • Academic and administrative colleagues across a range of departments to ensure that University policies and procedures are implemented effectively and efficiently.

The post-holder will be required to work their contracted hours on campus.


What you’ll bring:

With superb communication skills and experience in the Higher Education Sector, you will be able to support students at every stage of their journey. Your expertise in Microsoft Office applications will enable you to produce high quality documentation efficiently and track each stage of the student journey, reporting and supporting as necessary.  

Additionally, you will:  

  • Prepare and manage all relevant information for all examination boards, including pre-boards, ensuring that all data has been reconciled before the boards commence.
  • Provide administrative support for all Programme and Departmental meetings, ensuring that all relevant papers are available via Sharepoint.
  • Continually review and update procedures and systems within area of responsibility and share best practice with other administrators across the School.
