Business Analyst

In this role, you will play a key part in developing and promoting a culture of excellence. You’ll identify and deliver business benefits by understanding process and procedures, reviewing user perspectives, evaluating options and recommending solutions.

You will also:

  • Investigate, gather and document business needs;
  • Analyse business processes and information requirements and assess their efficiency and effectiveness;
  • Ensure that user requirements from business stakeholders are defined and documented;
  • Collaborate with key users across the University to identify potential business improvements including opportunities for information system solutions;
  • Defining and documenting all areas of the project, supporting and coordinating each phase;
  • Manage stakeholder engagement, including effective communications, chairing of groups, facilitating workshops, management of expectations and appropriate engagement in business change.

 

What you’ll bring

Strong knowledge of business analysis theory and practice is important in this role, particularly around requirements definition and benefits identification. You’ll demonstrate experience in delivering complex, cross-organisational change projects that have positively contributed to programme outcomes.

With highly developed communication skills, you will be comfortable building relationships with a wide range of people, presenting complex information tailored to your audience.

In addition, you will have: 

  • The ability to organise and manage busy workload to meet deadlines without compromising on quality.
  • Proven ability to work on own initiative, planning own work and that of others.
  • Experience of building productive internal and external relationships and networks.
  • Experience of user requirements gathering, business process evaluation and modelling and options appraisal techniques.
