The HR Officer role adds value by providing first line generalist advice across the employee lifecycle, acting as a key point of contact for all things people-related across the University. By providing the right balance of advice, guidance and support, you’ll help shape a positive and seamless employee experience.
Your key activities will include:
- Providing advice and managing contractual variations and employment changes.
- Delivering excellent customer service by responding to a wide range of queries via our People Services inbox.
- Triaging queries and working with other teams within People Service to ensure timely and effective resolution.
- Process Right to Work and DBS renewals for existing employees in line with UK legislation.
What you’ll bring
With core knowledge of people practice, employment law and people policies across a wide range of workplace scenarios, you’ll have a proven track record of delivering high quality generalist HR support. Your experience with people/HR systems will highlight your ability to drive improvement and proactively introduce new ideas that make a meaningful impact.
You’ll bring excellent communication skills and the ability to build collaborative, professional relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Passionate about delivering outstanding customer service, you’ll consistently demonstrate ethical practice and situation decision-making. Your digital fluency will enable you to work efficiently, and thrive in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
